various questions

Will be getting takeout from New Taste of Asia and while the usual recommended dishes of lamb w/ cumin, Singapore noodles and dumplings are good, I need to get something with less chilis than the lamb (children and not super spicy lovers will be partaking) and would like to try a different noodle dish. Suggestions?

Also, I'll have a couple weekdays off to try lunch at those places I can never get to in my short lunch time in the boring Longwood medical area. One day I'll be at MIT/Kendall Sq. so some place around there or Camb. would be good. Have gone to 2nd St. Cafe which might warrant a return but wondered if there was anything else. The other day I'll be outside Kenmore Sq. so anywhere from Brookline to downtown/south end is okay. The stipulation being it can't be bright cuz my pupils will be dilated. Unfortunately, can't do any buffets since major dinners are planned for both nites. That means something like a burger/fries isn't good either since it doesn't lend itself to a doggy bag. Any thoughts for these very specific requests? Thanks in advance.
