Next month I will be celebrating my 50th birthday in New Orleans along with 4 other couples. My wife and I will be treating the group to Sunday lunch at Galatoire's. I am aware that they accept reservations for upstairs only and my question is: Is there a significant difference between upstairs and downstairs?
We've always eaten downstairs and sorta enjoy the bustle and the colorful crowd. The alternative, of course, is to wait in line -- something I am loathe to do in the September heat ... attired in compliance with their Sunday dress code.
