Question about Chowhound time stamps

John E. | Feb 13, 2014 07:03 PM

This question is something that is not too important, but is a curiosity. Why do the timestamps on the Chowhound threads seem to change?

Here is an example: our esteemed Top Chef recapper, LindaWhit, in Boston, started a thread about the Top Chef Finale episode on Wednesday, 02/05/14 at approximately 11:30 pm EST,shortly after the episode was show on TV. I posted the first response about 15 minutes later. The timestamps now read 2:33pm and 2:45pm. Last Saturday I wrote a post on the Taco Bell Chili Cheese Burrito comeback at about 6:45 pm and now it is stamped 9:46am. If somebody makes a note of the fact that I referenced going to Tace Bell 'this afternoon' it won't make sense.

As I said, it's not a big deal, but why the changes? Did Chow secretly move to Sochi? (How's the borscht over there?)
