Restaurants & Bars 2

Had a great luncfh at Quartino today. It was superb. The ambience, the service, the quality of the food and the restaurant in general. My daughter made reservations there because it was at the Seaport and we had gone on a cruise up the Hudson. Not too far up. Anyway we had a reservaiton for 2 PM and arrived at 1. There was no problem with them serving us earlier then our reserved time. We had 3 kids, 4 seniors and 4 adult children. The service was impeccable. There was not one complaint. I had a wonderful fresh mozzarella and tomato drizzled with fresh evo and basil. Then I ordered a spinach frittata. The appetizers were varied. A salad with fresh pears, arugula, and shaved pecorino. A cboard of various cheeses with pears, tallegio, pecorino, brie and walnuts. A cooked spinach salad with shaved reggiano. All first class. main courses were Fettucini bolognese, paninis, pasta with basil and avocado and another pasta dish with vegetable and cream. Dessert was great, as was the capuccino. We had 2 bottles of wine a merlot and a pinot grigio. The bill was in the neighborhoods of $296 which included the tip. Give this restaurant with the freshest organic ingredients a try. I loved it. It is on Peck Slip right near the Seaport. Enjoy
