A dear friend just returned from a holiday in Vermont, and brought me a gift of a quart of Vermont grade B maple syrup. Normally, I'd hoard it, but for various reasons - I'm relocating across the country, I'd like to make something to share with friends, etc. - I'd like to use it all over the next two months.
We're not big pancake eaters, nor indeed users of sugar. So aside from using it like I'd use honey, what should I do with it? Some 'wow' recipes which really highlight its unique flavour would be wonderful. Maybe some kind of tart, or cake? A glaze for something? A marinade? I'm open to any recipes or ideas you can share.
Thank you in advance!
