Has anybody seen any good looking smoked ham hocks around the westside recently? I get some grungy ones on occasion at Vons, but they're industrial meat and full of nitrites and I'd like to find something better.
I'm looking for the hock (ankle), not the shank (legbone) which is sometimes mislabeled as a hock.
Actually, scratch that Westside part. If they're really good, I'm willing to travel to get them.
