Quality Control at Joanne's

Food Dog Man | Sep 16, 200106:42 PM

I really don't take the brood out much, but when we go, it's nice to know that some of our old favorites are still out there pumping out the great chow.

Yesterday morning found us trying to get the Saturn's alarm system repaired for the umpteenth time (there's nothing quite like pressing the stupid little buttons on the key 20 times trying to get the car to start) so we decided to revive ourselves with a trip to Joanne's on El Camino Real just south of the new CostCo, which also received a visit in an effort to revive consumer confidence.

Joanne's special, the buttermilk pancakes with the chopped mango and strawberry pieces, was just the thing. We'll have to go back for the buckwheat pancakes during the week (N/A on weekends).

Coffee was plentiful, service was on the dot, prices were low, fish are jumping and the cotton is high.
