I had dinner at Pylos with a girlfriend last night for her birthday. We were walking around the east village and stumbled across this place. We shared tris pites (3 different phyllo pastries filled with spinach and cheese, cheese and mushroom, and meat), grilled scallops over argula and white beans, an artichoke heart moussaka and grilled baby lamb chops. All dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. The service was wonderful - they even put a candle in my friend's dessert! And the restaurant is moderately priced (three apps, one main dish, dessert and a bottle of wine for $80). I will definitely go back and suggest that others try it. It's on East 7th between 1st and A.
