I have been eating at Moffetts about once a week lately. Every night a different soup. The split Pea is my favorite. I have been trying split pea soups at several places recently and IMO this one is tops. Panns makes a thick deep flavored pea soup as does Le Roys but I found no ham in those soups. At Moffetts a boul of Split Pea with that ham in it is like a meal in itself. I also like the Beef Barley and the Navy Bean (also with ham in it). The Chicken Pot Pie is simply Comfort Food the way it should be a whole little pie crust, moist tasty Chicken and smooth gravy over the top. Nothing else inside this pie. If you want carrots, peas or potatoes you can have it as part of the dinner plate or on the side. For dessert the Pumpkin Pie is so tasty, spicy and good we decided to order them for Thanksgiving. It is a small pie compared to others talked about on this Board but the price is small as well ($6.35) and the taste is big. If you havent decided on a Thanksgiving Pie you might consider having a great dinner at Moffetts and try some of the Pie. We plan to stop and take out our dinner on Wednesday before Thanksgiving at the same time we pick up our Pumpkin Pies. Many other people do this also so we will call ahead one or two days for the dinner order.
