I've been to PV 6 times in the past 5 months and after sampling many different restaurants, I have come to the resounding conclusion that the best food i've had in the entire city was found at an unmarked, though large, taco stand. It is on the corner of Federico Medina and Francia. It is always packed and for good reason.
Try the steak asada or fried fish tacos or quesadillas. The camarrones are good too. Phenomenal. And don't forget to lace them with the ""help yourself" marinated red onions. Yum. Tacos run about 90 cents to 1.20 and quesadillas are about $2.00. Worth every penny and more. The stand is called Mare y Terra Tacos, but the name only exists on the menus. I go there each visit, at least once a day.
