Proseccheria aka Pasticcio

In keeping with my attempts to not gain weight and to learn more about wine, I have been visiting wine bars more frequently of late. Proseccheria is poor, even as wine bars go (This venue cannot be called a wine bar). The bar area seats about 4, and this venue is essentially a restaurant.

Nonetheless, I perserved. The beef carpaccio was appropriately seasoned, with small sections of raw arugula, diced onions, mild capers and a bit of parmesan regiano (sp.). However, the key problem was the absence of intrinsic flavor to the beef slices. I had a Montelpuciano by the glass with the carpaccio. Bar Veloce has a better selection by far of Italian wines by the glass.

I ordered a pasta bolognese, which was poor. The bolognese sauce was mundane. I drank a mediocre Primitivo by the glass.
