Pros and Cons of Opting Out of a Thread

HillJ | Dec 13, 2013 08:43 AM

Well, I've used the opt in/opt out feature for a while now. And, I'm finding that opting out has its backfire moments. Opting out means that if a CH posts a question to my comment, I won't know it's there. Could potentially mean that CH thinks I'm ignoring them. Opting back in doesn't address the lost moment. I have found the feature useful for super old threads that have lingered in my discussion list but after realizing what I've missed, I'm not totally sold on the concept.

Anyone else finding this opt out useful/not useful or has figured out a better solution to using it?
