Private Rooms in Georgetown

I need a place to have a rehearsal dinner in Georgetown for about 40 people. We've been thinking Cafe Milano because they have three rooms, but I'm not a huge fan of their food. It's good for a light lunch but I'm afraid that on a Friday night it could be disastrous. Also, I've heard some not-so-nice things about their function manager and her likelihood of doing things such as hanging up the phone on clients in a huff.

We would like to be able to host cocktails for those not invited to the rehearsal dinner afterward somewhere close by. Best case scenario for me would be to rent out Bistrot Lepic, top and bottom, but we're a bit worried about the expense. Anyone had experience with this?

Any ideas? Future mother-in-law is very much a meat-and-potatoes person, so the possibilities of Heritage India and Mie n Yu are already out. Citronelle is out because of a bad experience his parents had there. (Personal, not restaurant-related--bad memories, bad vibes.)
