Private Room on a Budget? | Sep 1, 2004 10:32 AM

Okay, so after procrastinating a bit I'm a little late in looking for this. I'm trying to find a private room to hold about 40-45 people for a pre-wedding dinner (call it a rehearsal dinner minus the rehearsal).

We're trying to keep it low key and the budget down, so I'm looking for around $30 per person including tax and tip. willing to go to $35, but not any (or much) higher than that. And someplace casual is fine - maybe even preferred.

Anything below midtown is preferred, but will go uptown if that's where we're pointed. Nothing in chinatown (I may post a request later for suggestions on the best chinese restaurant for a large group. One note about a brunch wedding - your family may expect you to find a post-wedding dinner place too, on top of the rehearsal dinner!).

non-chinese/asian cuisine preferred.

Thanks so much!
