over-priced and underfed at Icarus

Four of us went to Icarus in the South End on a Saturday night - the first time for 3 of us. The room was gorgeous but very noisy. The waiter was inept. He neglected to mention shell fish in the description of the special of the day. This is unforgivable for a guest who is kosher, but far worse for someone who is desperately allergic to shell fish. He never apologized when his omission was pointed out. He also asked us to repeat everything many times, as he had trouble hearing our orders. He had absolutely no sense of humor.

Finally the men were served two tiny lamb chops and a 1" by 1" lamb hangar steak, too small to see, and priced at $35. This was a ridiculously small sized portion for such a high price. They should be ashamed. The food was tasty and the fish special, minus the shell fish was good, as well, but the prices were absurd and the portions were embarrassing. What are they thinking? Do they think their customers are dumb and hard of hearing?
