Pre poached-then roasted duck....any tips??

I will be trying a new recipe for duck. It calls for very low poaching the duck for 2 hours, with ginger, soy broth.
Then it rests over night. And to finish is roasted 350- for 45 minutes.....
Has anyone tryed this or similar techniques, any advice??????
