Power Dog at the Inner Harbour in B-more

Soup | May 4, 2006 06:34 PM

Was with the family at the inner harbour today. It was great with the exception of lunch. I got a foot long dog with the works at the power dog (next to Chipotle and Hard Rock Cafe). My son got a foot long with just catsup.

I can honestly say it was the worst dog I've had in the last 10 years. The dog was small, limp and favorless (other than salt). It had no snap. The they put it in a large sub bun and the small dog got lost. To quote my son "hey, where's the hotdog?". The chili on it was average at best. The best part of it was the onion. Thank goodness, I asked for extra.

As for service, they over charged me (i.e., charged me for a cheese dog when it wasn't). Then when I asked for packets of catsup, they gave me a handful and said, "hey we just gave you catsup, we'd like some tip" and held the tip jar out.

Closest thing to this that I've seen is a waiter following a patron that has paid out the door and asking for more tip (Cap city brew. in DC).

My wife was the smart one, she went for Chipotle.
