"Potstickers" at Lotus Garden

Courgette | Aug 6, 200301:20 AM

Lotus Garden has been on the list for a long time. I finally decided to try it after reading the impassioned post a few days ago about supporting the restaurant.

Ordered a few things, most notably the "potstickers" which are unlike any potstickers that have come before. These were delightful balls of ground pork with some scallions, ginger, and other ingredients I didn't really bother to analyze that have been covered with long grain rice and fried. They are golden caramel colored spiky balls. On the side was a small mound of shredded carrot with vinegar and a small bowl of hoisin sauce. The filling could have been more assertive flavor wise with salt and ginger. The texture though was great because of all that crunchy rice. Very much worth the try and the trip!
