Second post; followup to Blue Ribbon thread waaay back.

For anyone who participated/was interested, I have a followup to the earlier posting made re. Blue Ribbon (summary of earlier one; Blue Ribbon, crap. Redbones, good).

I got lunch at Redbones the other day, something that I had not yet done. I will spare you the details as it is not worth going into detail, the food was garbage. Everything was overly-sauced and reheated from what I assume was dinner leftovers the night before. In taste and quality, the food bore no resemblance to what had become my understanding of the standard there. If your only experience of Redbones has been from lunch, please visit for dinner.

I also squeezed in another trip, actually two to Blue Ribbon. Hate to disappoint any spoilers but my opinion has not changed. I have to say that I was eager to be proved wrong (always nice to find one other worthwhile eat in town) but it was not to be, I'm afraid. It is getting harder to find new things to say about the place, it was simply as disappointing as I remember. I think it boils down to too many items dressing up the simple flavors of their food across the board (pies too cloying, pork too smokey, sauce to seasoned).

Just thought I would update an early entry.
