Took a trip up scenic Route 22 to try the pizza here. It's located near the train station, roughly at the intersection of 684 and route 138. Just north of Bedford and Bedford Hills.

Anyway, I'd heard the slices are large. Hah! A slice is almost the size of a small pie. My son and I ordered two slices and a meatball wedge (were we sufficiently far north that it's no longer called a "hero"?)...and gasped when we saw how much food we'd ordered. (A slice is $2.75, which I guess tips you off... quantity-wise it's a bargain.)

I don't think the pizza is great. It's good, maybe very good. I was actually more impressed with the meatballs. Those I thought were great. Excellent quality meat, way beyond what you usually get even in good pizza places. Subtle spices...really yummy.

If the slices weren't so gigantic, I don't think the pizza would be remarkable. So it definitely is something of a gimmick. It remains to be seen if the pizza flavor itself has the staying power to bring me back regularly given the 30-minute drive. But I'm definitely going back soon and checking out other items, thanks to the meatballs. And it's definitely cool to take someone there at least once if only for the visual!
