Porterhouse Tails?

bk | Jul 19, 2005 10:23 PM

I was just surfing the beef aisle at FreshDirect.com (a local NYC food delivery service) and came across the following

Has anyone ever heard of or tried such a cut?

Porterhouse Tails ($4.99/lb, 2-3 pieces/lb)
Thin strips of steak from the ultimate cut of beef — the tender and flavorful porterhouse. These 2-by-4-inch strips are an economical way to enjoy a luxury cut, and their small size makes them perfect for quick cooking. Delicious sautéed and served with pan sauce. Also perfect for grilling and tossing onto greens for a Thai beef salad.
