I bought some beautiful maroon-colored indian corn at a farmer's market yesterday. The farmer claimed that if I put a cob in a paper bag, it would pop up nicely in the microwave.
Well, I tried it and although most of the kernels did 'pop', few left the cob and most just split open rather than fully popping. I left it in until the cob looked and smelled burned.
Does anyone know what I did wrong? Or was this just false advertising?
