Poor service and POOR portions at Reo Diner Woodbridge, NJ

I have not been in this area in quite some time, but the other day I was with a friend of mine and we were in the mood for Cheeseburgers from a diner. (I know super fatty, but oh well) We were at Woodbridge Mall and remembered the Reo Diner from growing up how great the food was and how BIG the portions were.

Things have definately changed here! For the worst!

We got there yesterday around 12:30, not busy at all, but we waited and waited for a good 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Finally a man sitting on the counter smoking, yelled to us, "Sit anywhere you like and take menus." We were a little shocked, but ok we did as he said.

Then we must have waited yet again about 10 minutes for a waiter to come over. First a waitress told us she would be with us right away, then we never saw her again. So we ordered 2 cheeseburger deluxes. We got the food before even getting our drinks. I had to go tot hte counter and ask someone else to get our sodas. Needless to say, she was annoyed. The buns on the burgers were SO BIG and the meat was SO SMALL! They looked like little beef pattys from a Big Mac. The fries, I kid you not, 7!!!! 7 French fries on the whole plate. My girlfriend was lucky enough to get 8. HA! Who are they kidding. I asked the waiter where the cole slaw was and he responded we really shouldnt order it beacuse it is sour and the owners don't care.

Sorry I am rambling on, but have times changed!!! Has anyone else had a horrible experience here or was the day just off?

When I told the woman at the register on the way out how dissappointed we were with the place (NOT LOOKING FOR A FREE MEAL) she told us Wegmans is 3 miles down the road and so is Panera Bread!!!

Can you imagaine!!! I thought I was dreaming. I will NEVER visit this place again, and I will take the advice of the woman at the register and go to Wegmans!!
