Ponzu in Waltham to add Korean dishes

youngho | Dec 21, 201606:47 PM     10

Ponzo, which is on Moody St in Waltham, is under new management and will start serving Korean dishes starting next week, perhaps as early as Tuesday. For now, they offer a seafood pancake (haemul pajeon) that was thin but nicely fried and crispy/chewy, spicy cod stew (daegu maeuntang, which my dad reported was quite delicious), and sashimi bibimbap (hwedupbap) that I eat pretty rarely but did enjoy. They have a new printed takeout menu, but I wouldn't be surprised if they take some time to update the website. Since there aren't many other Korean restaurants within 15 minutes of our house, we'll be back, and I can offer updates later.
