Pompano: French bakery review (croissants, too)

Andrew | Jan 12, 2004 09:26 AM

If you like croissants, I'd recommend this french bakery just off of Federal Hwy. on McNab in Pompano Beach. I don't have the name, but it's right next door to "The French Place" restaurant at 360 E. McNab. (same owner I think.) The croissants are that crispy outside/chewy inside consistency. They've got some fancy ones too: I had a Strawberry one, which wasn't all that, b/c the sauce tasted canned. They've also got a ham, swiss cheese & Bechamel (sp) sauce one which looked pretty interesting.

They've also got baguettes and other breads (haven't tried 'em yet).

It might not be the best in the area, but there don't seem to be very many places like this at all around N. Ft. L. or Pompano at all, so you might want to try it out.
