I was invited to a friend's Persian New Year celebration and I'd like to contribute something. I'd like to do a tart with pastry cream, swirled with pomegranate molasses, and topped with slivered pistachios. I'm really uncertain if this will taste good, as I've never had pomegranate molasses and am not sure how well pistachios would go with it.
Also, I'm unsure as to what brand of pomegranate molasses I should buy- I would prefer something fairly thick, not too sweet, and ideally a pretty color.
Anyone have any thoughts?
