At what point does a recipe become "yours"?

We've all adapted recipes from cookbooks, magazines, websites and friends. But at what point - and how - do you think those recipes transform into yours: changing or using more or less of an ingredient? changing the cooking time? changing something else in the recipe? How much needs to change to call a recipe your own?
