My husband travels to Dallas (from NY) every so often on business and so far has been disappointed in his dinners. Working from a Dallas Magazine list of the city's best restaurants he has tried Sevy's Grill which he thought was perfectly edible, but nothing wonderful and Holy Smokes, which also didn't wow him.
He's going out again on Monday and is hoping to find something really delicious for dinner.
He has the following constraints: He's staying at the Hilton in Park Cities and won't have a car, so a restaurant needs to be either walking distance or a reasonable cab ride. He doesn't eat beef or pork, but does eat chicken and fish. (He acknowledges that for all he knows Holy Smokes is amazing if you're not getting the chicken.) He can spend up to about $50 for dinner including tax and tip. He doesn't drink, so need to worry about room in the budget for wine or beer. He'll happily eat pretty much any cuisine, but especially loves good Asian. (I don't know if there's any kind of Asian community in Dallas and thus if there's good Thai, Vietnamese, etc.) He'd be delighted to get great barbecue in Texas, but, chicken, blah, blah, blah.
