We are currently planning a Thanksgiving getaway to New York. We generally travel against the tourist flow but have decided to brave the crowds this time.
Can anyone suggest a good dinner place on Thanksgiving day? I'm guessing that most of what we'll find will be hotel buffets, which is fine with me, as long as it's nice. Can I expect most regular restaurants to be open?
Secondly, can anyone suggest a breakfast place with a view? We were planning to stay at the Library Hotel that offers a breakfast with a view thing but tickets for that are sold out.
We are two adults, eat anything and don't really have a limit on spending. Finally, one last non-chow question-maybe the breakfast thing's not worth it? Is the parade overrated if you're not a kid?
TIA, Shellymck from DC
