As an avid Nordic skier, I was intrigued by a recent article in the NYT re the Jura.
It looks like an amazing area for food, and of course I've heard great things about the wines from the region.
The Grande Traverse runs from Verrieres de Joux to the north, down to Giron in the south, with Premanon as the epicenter. As far as dining goes, do you have any suggestions? After a full day of skiing, I'd be more looking for hearty local cuisine. No real interest in Michelin starred places. I saw a good review on CH for Le Grapiot, but that looks to be a little outside the Grande Traverse. I also read good reviews for places in Arbois, but again, I think that's going to be too far west and north for me.
A non-food related question, what train would you take for ease of transportation from the Jura back to Paris? (Yes, the plan is to end the trip w/ four night in Paris.) Merci beaucoup.
