Help planning a day trip from Florence

Multifoiled | Jan 20, 201706:17 AM     6

We're planning a trip to Italy for this April. We've been to Florence a number of times and even spent a week in Tuscany one year with Monteriggioni as our base. That said, we are including Florence on this trip to revisit some favorite places but also to take a day trip to somewhere we haven't been, like the Chianti region. Although we've rented cars before, we really don't want to this time. My question to those in the know, are there any good tour groups out there? I did see a nice tour on Walks of Italy, but I always feel like such a tourist on those types of tours (but I guess in reality I am one). Better yet, who are the Katie Parlas and Elizabeth Minchillis of Florence, meaning someone who does private tours with their reputations? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
