Places to buy great Olive Oil?

TalismanGirl | Jan 14, 2006 05:56 PM

I have finally run out of the great Olive Oil I bought from a winery in Provence after a tasting. I am now spoiled, and want to find a place in the Metro Boston area (Cambridge, Brighton, Brookline, North End, etc.) to buy something wonderful to replace it. Ideally, I would like to go someplace that has a tasting, so I can choose between several, but in the absence of that, I am also interested in recommendations from this board on specific brands that are chowhound favorites. I plan to use it both for salads, and for cooking, but I particularly want something special for salads.

Here is an initial list of places I was thinking I could look:

Dave's Pasta in Davis Sq.
Cardullos (sp?) in Harvard Sq.

I imagine there are also places in the North End, and am open to suggestions for places there.

Thanks in advance for your input.
