I know that variations of this question get asked all the time, so I apologize if this seems repetitious. I have read back over the board, but still can't seem to make up my mind.
I'm taking my boyfriend out to dinner for his birthday this Wednesday night. We both usually like steak or seafood when we go out. Our favorite restaurant is Little Fountain Cafe, but he wants to try someplace new and has left selection up to me.
The place doesn't have to be oozing romance -- just someplace that we'll enjoy being for a couple hours, quiet enough to enjoy each other's company and great food. It doesn't have to feel fancy or dressy, but we're not opposed to putting on nice clothes.
With the holidays just over and our anniversary coming up soon, I'd like to keep the dinner to around $150 (we drink wine, but skip dessert). We can't afford to eat out at nice places often, so I'm overwhelmed by so many places I hear about, without much experience as a reference.
Right now, my research has left me with the following finalists, but I'm open to others: New Heights, Tabard Inn, Palena, and Cashion's Eat Place. Probably currently ranking in that order.
I so appreciate all the info and ideas you all share. For someone who doesn't eat out so often, this board gives me vicarious enjoyment.
