Best Place to Buy Holiday Tamales

NShewmaker | Nov 3, 201807:29 AM     4

Hi All!

Growing up in Southern California, my family always picked up 2-3 dozen tamales a few days before Christmas and that was a main staple of Christmas dinner and the following vacation days.

That being said, I’ve been living here in Chicago for six years but this is the first year I’ll be hosting a holiday out here. Would love to buy some tamales in bulk like we used to do.

Any suggestions as to where? We used to get ours from a Mexican bakery in Santa Ana, but I am not certain if that would be the case out here or if I’d need to find a restaurant.

I’m in Belmont Cragin but willing to travel within the city and nearby suburbs.

Any and all thoughts appreciated. Happy Holidays!
