pizzaria delfina

bandit | Jul 20, 200511:08 AM

We made it last night @ 5:30 and were seated right away...I don't know her but Anne the owner was working (the table next to us made a production about knowing her and getting her to recommend wine, etc..etc...) and she seemed to be running the show very effectively- we didn't experience any confusion on where to go or what to do, nor did others that we saw including to-go people and people waiting...service with a smile and the timing was right on....

anyway, more importantly the pizza was tasty, the dough was good and as posted before the marinara on the margarita was tangy, the cheese was delictable...We also had the broccli rabe/ricotta which was a little sclice of heaven and then the cherry crostata for dessert...

of everything, of late, I have a huge crush on their crostata which they serve at the full restaurant, this was half the serving (smaller than the one you get in the other place) with whipped cream and its perfection- everything about it, perfect, I lllloooooovvvvveeee it !! crunchy, crumbly crust, sweet large suger granuals, sweet cheeries, mashed and slimy perfection with the crust- heaven I tell you !!

.back to the pizza, I am still partial to paulines, I think for my taste which doesn't require authentic perfection or the exact way they make it in aother part of the world, given my druthers, I would eat at delfina's again but will probably make a little more effort and walk to paulines...

I know I will be back though and I know I will take the crostata to go, all was well worth the calories...
