Last Pizza Show at Prego Ristorante (SF)

Melanie Wong | Oct 25, 200502:32 AM     10

Sunday afternoon I wandered down Union Street enjoying our Indian summer sun. I wasn't planning to eat out but the aroma of the wood-fired oven lured me over to the posted lunch menu to check out the pizza choices. I went inside, asked for a margherita scorched and took a seat at the table outside on the corner of Buchanan to read my mail.

Half the pizza was scorched and the other side was blonde and doughy. Too much cheese, but it was a fine al fresco lunch.

The restaurant is due to close this week. Perry's will be taking over the space for something new.
