New Pizza place- Logan Square

Big Cheese Pizza has just opened. I have tried a few different items, being close to home. So here is what I think.

First, fast cheap and good.

The Pizza is OK, they don't do sausage the way "Chicago" does a sausage pizza, it was more like gyro meat. sliced! Odd enough, but the taste was good, not what I expected. Crust was great! Like no pizza I have ever had in Chicago, a very nice change of pace.

Next time I had pepperoni, that was fine, how can you screw up pepperoni?

They also offer a wheat crust, which my wife liked, and small 10" pizza at a decent price so I didn't have to fight about ingredients with my non meat eating wife.

I have also tried 2 different sandwiches. First time was turkey, which was good, they bake the bread which makes the sandwich good. 2nd time was veal parmaigiana, that was not as good, and would pass on that.

Big Cheese has been around in Rhode Island for over 50 years, I have no idea why they came to Chicago to introduce an East Coast pizza, but it seems to work, Would love to hear what others think, they have a lot of stuff on the menu to try.

They are at 2554 W. Diversey, just east of the Kennedy Expressway.
