A transplant from the West Coast, over the years since I've been here I am just so amazed how many places you can get a cheap huge parmesan with gravy sandwich (chicken, veal, eggplant). The equivalent would be Californias roach coach head size burritos.
Anyway, on Boston Ave in Medford between College and Hillsdale you can get a parmesan or a pie at a ton of different places. That is a 2 block distant. Amazing. How do they stay in business? Only in Boston.
So amazing that I got 20 of my closest friends together to do a taste off. That was about a year ago. We ordered a plain cheese pie at the same time and picked them up at the same time. We rated for service, taste, and price.
If I remember right they included .
That gross Chester chicken place
The Near East (now named Romas, which, I believe, changed their name due to 1. sagging business folks in Medford dont do falafel 2. shitty falafel, they were more like gross wraps 3. concern about post Sept. 11th bigots)
The winner? You guess
