My pre-seasoned cast iron skillet is wearing down in the bottom of the pan. It is happening in the area that I cook in the most i.e. down the middle where I lay my steaks. I re-seasoned it with vegetable oil on 350deg. for 1 hour twice. I was not treating it properly at first. I was not oiling it between uses and my daughter, who does the dishes, was not scrubbing out all the burned out bits. Both of which is what I assume caused the problem. Can my pan be salvaged?
