Pinot Provence Brunch in OC

lil mikey | Feb 20, 200511:05 PM

They opened at 11:30, and we were there at 11:30. We were the second party seated, so we got to pick a nice table in the corner by the glowing fireplace. The room looks rustic, and it’s very warm and inviting. We considered Pavilion at the Four Seasons, but it looked too flowery in the picture. I’m glad we chose Pinot.

The server was very gracious and friendly. She told us the specials, and made sure we ordered any drinks we wanted. They brought coffee, orange juice, water and bread.

I ordered the eggs benedict which were on an English muffin with back bacon, asparagus, egg and a béarnaise sauce. On the side, and sprinkled about, were roasted cherry tomatoes, and it had (too much) parsley on top. It was outstanding, and a perfect portion. Not too much, not too little. Just enough.

My buddy ordered the filet of sole, which came in a huge bowl the size of a wok. He loved it, but I couldn’t describe it other than it looked great.

The total was $53 before tip. I’m definitely going back.
