Pinole Possibilities? Bear Claw Bakery pies?

krys Stanley | Dec 9, 2004 12:10 PM

Any info about what’s good to eat in Pinole?

I stopped by the bakery and ordered … what else … a bear claw which I really liked. It is a little different than most I’ve tried. The pastry is soft, sort of like Svensons Danish. There is a lovely filling. There is a limited selection of baked goods and sandwiches on fresh baked bread. It seems the pies are available by special order only. Has anyone tried them? Favorite flavor?

Is Giovanni’s house made sausage any good? How is the Italian food there?

What is the Pinole Creek Café like? It is open Xmas. Is this a place you would go to eat on Xmas?

Opinions on Pear Street Café, Moon Doggies hot dogs, Blackies burgers, Antlers

Any other suggestions? What are your recommended dishes at any of these?
