Pimenton LIC Tapas-Nothing special

Dinner at Pimenton last night: Steak with machengo cheese, pork loin (described as "tenderloin", which it was not) with onions and peppers, piquillo peppers with garlic and garlic shrimp. All very ordinary and way too much money.

The steak had a kind of phony smoky taste, made on a gas char-grill; the peppers were simply canned peppers with some crisped garlic, and the shrimp had been cooked on too low a flame resulting in a garlic sauce from which the sherry/alchohol had not fully evaporated, and shrimp which were flaccid and not crunchy. And my martini wasn't cold enough.

Nothing really bad, but absolutely no reason to return, especially at the inflated prices.
