Living part time on Galiano we are lucky to have Pilgrimme...been open for more than a year now, I go every couple months or so. Quite a buzz about it, they are booked well in advance throughout the summer but can sometimes accomodate walk-ins. They now have a six-ish course (+ amuse bouche) tasting menu which is extraordinary value at $57 (in another location it might be 2-3 times that). I highly, highly recommend, although the ferry makes logistics tricky. Hyper local food, beautifully prepared and presented, very veggie-forward. Some nordic-style prep with powders etc (had an amazing freeze-dried locally harvested reindeer lichen with seaweed powder, that was like eating a crunchy umami cloud), but nothing too outrageous (you won't find any liquid nitrogen here). Lots of preserves.
