Pico Kosher Deli

Stan | Jun 16, 200412:08 AM

I walked a long stretch of Pico through mid-town, visiting every chow destination I could find. I made some minor discoveries -- a strange Swedish deli, an Indian grocery, Alef Market having changed its name to Glatt Mart. The high-point of the trip was Gordon's Fish Emporium (9116 W Pico, 310 276 6603), where the owner gave me an enthusiastic tour of every fish in the shop. The low-point, I'm sad to say, was dinner at the Pico Kosher Deli. I had a turkey burger, which was awful. The slab of turkey, supposedly 1/3 pound, tasted exclusively of char. The fries were cold. The lemonade was made from chemicals, and not even hardly enough chemicals so you could taste them. I had been intending to eat at Magic Carpet, but they were too expensive for how hungry I was. I did visit an interesting place that might be new, King David Grill (6118 W Pico, 323 655 2399). They have outdoor seating. Has anybody eaten there?
