I'd heard that Pico was serving a roast suckling pig sandwich for lunch in its new "Pico Cafe," which (confusingly) turns out is just the right side of the restaurant.
The sandwich is $9.95 and it comes on a toasted bun, and sadly was one of the highlights of the dish for me. The pork itself had a honey-sweet taste that I didn't care for. There was a pretty generous portion of pork, along with lots of skin. On the sandwich were some greens that I couldn't identify, no real taste except for the oil that they were drenched in, so I didn't see the point in them being on the sandwich.
My last visit to Pico was also pretty unmemorable except for their stellar sonhos, fried donut holes that come with chocolate and raspberry dipping sauces. I had them again today and they were once again the star of the show.
