I must confess to being an incredibly picky eater. I don't consider myself a food snob because I don't worry about the prestige or trendiness of my food. I just have very definite ideas about what I do and don't like. Unless it's rude to refuse, I have a personal policy of not eating anything that I don't like. For example, I love Rice Krispie treats, but I won't touch them unless they're homemade and consist solely of butter, marshmallows, and puffed rice cereal (not necessarily brand name Rice Krispies, either), but if the crumbled dregs from the bottom of the bag fall into the 'Treats, all bets are off.
It's wonderful to live in a society where even relatively poor folks like me have the luxury of passing up food they don't like, knowing that something more pleasing is likely to come along soon.
