Picking Potatoes

I recently switched grocery stores. Although the new one has a lot going for it, it also seems to have a higher than usual proportion of green potatoes. I avoid the ones that are obviously green around the gills, of course, but pretty regularly I will get home and start peeling to find that my normal-looking potato is green under the skin. Other than that obvious green sheen is there anything I should be looking for to keep me from picking dud spuds?
