Who's been to Picholine recently? I had a marvellous meal there shortly after it opened a few years ago. Now I have a reservation there for dinner with my parents on Friday. I've heard that there might have been a switch of chef, and someone just told me that he had a mediocre meal there last month... with bad service to boot (annoying waiter who kept making jokes and would not leave the table alone).
Please let me have any inside scoop on any recent meals you've had there. My parents are highly irritated by bad service and don't dine out at high-end restaurants much; they will expect a seamless experience for their money.
I'm assuming the cheese is still the king.
