Piazza Pellegrini -- Yet another Italian Restaurant for the Ave.

The old Record Hardware site at 659 Columbus Ave., North Beach, which successively became Cafferata, Frankie's Bohemian, Blend, and then Skewers, appears about to reopen as the more ambitious Piazza Pellegrini, with menus posted in the window and pictures of Rome being hung. It looks to be pretty much standard antipasti- primi- secundi format and carnivore-friendly, with rabbit, steak, lamb shanks and game hen on the short list of mains (generally priced in the mid-teens).
