In the early 60's there was an ice cream parlor in White Plains called Daddy Michaels. The decor and foods were typical of what one would have found in the 1890's. The place is no longer there but they served an unusual soda called a phosphate. This was a drink almost totally devoid of sweetness, emphasizing the fruit flavors. Where on this planet can one get a phosphate nowadays?
